DAMAGES, GUARANTEES, RETURNS, ETC. RETURNS: "Collect" freight shipments are AUTOMATICALLY REFUSED by our receiving personnel. If SGS had made an error in filing the distributor's orders, the return shipment still must be made via prepaid freight but SGS will reimburse the distributor for shipping expenses when crediting his account. After thirty days, no return will be accepted by our Service Dept. without the prior WRITTEN permission of our Sales or Service Manager. ALL GOODS RETURNED FOR CREDIT OR REFUND AFTER THIRTY DAYS WILL BE SUBJECT TO 20% SERVICE CHARGE. DAMAGED & PILFERED MERCHANDISE: When a shipment is received that shows obvious signs of damage, the distributor should keep the deliverer present while the carton is opened and inspected. If contents are damaged, he should note that fact on all copies of the bills of lading and have the carrier sign his name (not initials) in a clearly legible fashion. Distributors should then notify the carrier's office without delay, stating that he intends to file a claim for the damages. The distributor should also notify SGS Service Manager at the same time so we can help pursue his claim. Technically, title of goods transfers to the distributor as soon as a shipment leaves our warehouse. Consequently, the distributor must take positive steps to prevent losses. Every incoming shipment should be unpacked IMMEDIATELY and contents compared with packing list. SGS cannot be held responsible for losses thru damage or pilferage in transit. GUARANTEES: All SGS merchandise that is subject to a guarantee is packed with an appropriate guarantee card. This card must be filled out and returned to SGS by the customer within ten days of the date of retail purchase. If the guarantee is not so filed it is rendered invalid. SERVICE CHARGE: All firearms returned for service out-of-guarantee are subject to a minimum service charge of $25.00. All claims for repairs or adjustments under the guarantee should be made directly to the SGS Service Department by the consumer. ALL PRICES CONTAINED HEREIN ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
